I don't really mind which type of giveaway you choose, just having the WIPocalypse is fun on it's own. Any prizes are a bonus.
But I think anyone who posts every month should get a special sticker LOL
As your little man grows up you will realise The Power of the Sticker. Primary Schools run on them LOL

You actually got to see your son sit up on his own? Even though I was watching for it, I missed mine's first time. i went in to get him out of his crib, and he was already sitting. You lucky bug.

Been there.. sometimes it was never ending. But eventually you will find a light at the end of the tunnel, I find that if I dedicated one whole day to doing laundry it would be done, usually!

i remember all that laundry. It does get better........only then the laundry you do have gets way dirty. (3 1/2 yr old boy}

It appears to be quilting specific, though. I know there are a couple of WIP Wednesdays out there (one for knitting as well)... haven't come across one for cross-stitchers.

I'm adopted too and felt exactly the same way when I had my first child. And now that my boys are older (my oldest is 17, my youngest almost 14), it still gives me a strange little thrill when someone tells me how much my boys look like me. :-)

aww this is such a great post. I love to hear from someone that is adopted. My husband and I are thinking about starting the adoption process and these are all things we worry about. Great post, thanks for sharing.

Beautiful post. I am not adopted, nor have I adopted. But a number of friends, through the years, have adopted - from this country, from Korea, from China. I've seen it from their point of view and perhaps, when they have children (all are adults now) they will experience what you have.

Lovely story behind your name.
My Dad chose my name which was very popular in the 1960s when I was born. Everywhere I go I meet people called Jo, Joanne or Joanna. I don't know why he chose it, he had a Joan Baez album at the time though!
My middle name is Mary which is my Mum's middle name and two of my Great Grandmother's too.
I got off lightly, I could have had Muriel, Margery or Gladys if they had gone for my Grandmothers' names!
